DJ Mercilless wastes no time kicking off the video with his mastered, signature cuts and scratches while Righteous is digging in the crates, setting the vibe for the video. Using clever wordplay Righteous defines the role of an MC and DJ. Ruste Juxx piggybacks with his verse while What is an emcee if he can’t rap, what is a DJ if he can’t scratch echoes throughout the entire video. The duo pays respect to authentic Hip Hop and the culture without sounding dated so all schools of HIp Hop can grasp it. They provide a refresher of the elements, which seems to sometimes get lost.
